Eyewitnesses

My mom said that when the Kennedy assassination happened she was in her fourth grade class room and the nuns came on her P.A. system and told them all to start saying the rosary. When she went home that day my grandmother was watching television (which was rare because she never watched television during the day). She did not understand what it all meant but she could tell that it was very devastating to the grown-ups. Several days later she remembers watching the funeral on television. She was nine at the time.

My father was in school when Kennedy was assassinated and his teacher told his class that the president had been assassinated. He felt very sad, and thought that everyone around him was sad as well. He was nine as well at the time.
